rmerly known as LeTV, china’s Le Holdings Co Ltd, LeEco an all-electric battery concept car. The concept car dubbed as LeSEE whose production version company hopes to be launched in the future. The company said the concept that will be displayed at the Beijing Auto Show, is not just a electrically propelled but has been engineered to be a “smart”, “connected” and “automated self-driving” car and will compete head-on with Tesla Motors Inc’s Model S.
Jia Yueting, co-founder and head of LeEco said he hopes that when the car hits the market it will help China’s auto industry reach the forefront of the global auto sector. “When everyone is questioning us over our ability to develop a car like this and is laughing at us, we are still able to be here and show you this car … I am so emotional,” Jia said at a LeEco launch event for several products in Beijing.
Speaking of the design, the concept car gets a fresh profile with its sloping roofline, the front fascia gets a light strip, but does not have a front grille. For the side mirror, the LeSEE uses camera, while the top appear to be moulded from glass into a single piece. At the rear, the design has been mirrored for the rear tail lamps and a diffuser can be seen.
